History
As my DT360A wasn’t suitable for the road I purchased a well used TX650 identical to the one pictured and rode it for about 9 months whilst I was on L plates. It was a reliable bike, sounded great but was a little slow with a top speed of about 102 MPH with a tail wind. I fondly recall the rear end regularly stepping out a couple of feet when going hard around sweeping corners at speed. This handling problem was typically rectified by new shocks and fitting the longer swing arm from the 1975 XS650B or later models. I sold the TX650 to help purchase a 1971 HQ Monaro GTS Coupe.
* Unfortunately I cannot locate a photo of my actual TX650, but this Yamaha is identical to the one I owned.
