These 1973 KTMs are rare and are known as Pentons in the US and the ISDT where they won lots of enduros being ridden by Jack Penton and other riders. I purchased this KTM GS Hare Scrambler in the early 90s with intentions of racing it in Pre 1975 vintage motocross (VMX). It had great equipment as standard, Mahle piston, Ceriani from forks, S & W rear shocks, fiberglass fuel tank, 6 speed gearbox and it felt great to ride. Unfortunately, parts for these back then were twice the price of Japanese bikes and hard to get, hence I only trail rode it and then sold it to finance the restoration of a YZ (432).
