I wanted a Verdoro Green HT 253 4 speed GTS but my father would only lend me sufficient money for this base model 161 3 on the tree. The Monaro was in excellent contdition with a handsome black interior. Within 6 months it was upgraded with 6 inch mags, two barrel carburettor, Impala quick shift and a heater. Traded it at the Holden dealer in Stawell for a 1971 HQ GTS Coupe.
Modifications
Upgraded with a Toyota Corona 4 Speed gearbox, 186 S manifold and two barrel Stromberg carburettor, 6 inch Aunger Kidney mags, heater and rear demister.
