Private import from UK in the early 80s (?)
Purchased by me in a somewhat dilapidated state in c.1985. (Some glass missing, not one straight panel, interior trim & carpet shredded by animals - car lived outside on a farm)
Fully rebuilt (except motor which was OK) by 1989. Some parts imported from the U.K., but all body & trim work done locally in Cooma to a very high standard.
Used as my daily drive until sold in 1997/8
DECEMBER 2017 - Funny how things go.........I saw an ad for this BMW in Unique Cars & thought it looked familiar !!
Sure enough, it was my old car, so went to dealer website & "borrowed " the interior, engine & rear 3/4 photos as I had none of my own. Nice to have more than just the memories.
BMW alloys & a sports steering wheel have been added since I owned it (& the questionable black on the rocker cover) & the fog & driving lights removed, but otherwise just as I last saw it. Magic car - wish I'd kept it........
