Bought with a workmate in about 1970 as a restoration project.
Most work done in his (small) garage.
Repaired engine, gearbox, chassis & mudguards before mate moved to Brisbane. With nowhere to work on it, sat in my Mum's yard under a tarpaulin for a few years & was then taken to Max Houston's Vintage Motor Garage & subsequently sold. (Max was a great friend of my Dad & had worked on Dad's Vauxhall 30/98)
I think we got back all our costs & made a (very) few bucks on top. I've no idea where the car ended up. Anyone ??
We did receive some kudos regarding the quality of the work done, which was very gratifying, given the reputation of the VMG.
