History
Bought it out of the local paper, advertised as a 54' I talked him down to $5000 because it wasn't really what I was after but now I couldn't think of parting with it.
Everything stock standard, as it was in '48, last registered 1966.
I'm the third Owner, it was a grandfathers hand me down to a son that had no room and had to sell it.
I've owned it for 10 years and have only just really decided to get in and get it on the road.
Had new life breathed into it by Garry at Rebel Restorations [Gosford] and it runs like a dream.
I've since pulled it all apart now and am in the process of sanding everything back for a home spray job and DIY re-trim.
Modifications
No real modifications however I do plan to swap the old oil can intake out for a twin or triple Stromberg intake and split the old cast exhaust manifold with a KEW motor "middle dump" manifold to acheive a duel outlet for twin cherry bomb glass-packs.
Interior will be changed out from the original brown and camel to a slick wet look gloss black vinyl with glitter red vinyl seats and the window surrounds and some of the dash will have a home grown candy red swirl paint effect.
Possibly looking to rebuild the engine with 251-265 internals... would be nice.
