History
Purchased as a basket case resto and restored over a three year period. Recently raced in Group Lb and won at Leyburn sprints two years running. Raced from 1958 until 1992 all over Australia at various circuits. Fully log booked car in Group Lb (Australian Specials pre 1960)
Modifications
Originally built is Sydney in 1958 by Ted Read, using copy of Mercedes W196 chassis. Holden grey engine running high com pistons, modified cam and three 1.5" SU carbys with straight through headers. Centrally mounted MG Tc Needham straight cut gear box. Skoda Octavia rear end using chain drive via quick change rear case. Peugeot 203 front end.
