This 1972 Ford Capri V6 3000 GT is a matching number vehicle finished in the rarely seen Lime Glaze colour more often associated with the XA Falcon/Fairmont range. This GT Coupe is fitted with the desirable 4 speed manual gearbox and was purchased new from Thompson Ford of Parramatta in May 1973. The first owner cherished this car for 27 years keeping it garaged and well maintained. It was then sold to a buyer in Armadale who held onto to it for 21 years and refurbished the car to the standard that it is in today. This restoration was undertaken approximately ten years ago and included freshening up the engine and a two pack respray in the original colour. The rear diff has 3.44 gear ratio and drum brakes. The front brakes are disc.
These GT Coupes were regarded as one of the quickest cars available in the 1970's and a competitor for Holden's hottest Toranas. The car is currently registered in Qld on Special Interest Registration. Super Roo. Rally proven. Race. Aussie muscle. Classic. Sports. Historic interest. Rare.
