History
The vehicle has had 4 owners in 43 years, it has all the paperwork back to the day it was bought new in Burbank California when a 1962 Cadillac was traded in on it for $150 usd. The vehicle came with Protector plate warranty book, original glove box book and Black/Yellow number plates. It had a lot of work done including repaint and engine rebuild back in 1993-1994.
The vehicle has obviously never been used as a work vehicle and was imported to Australia by it’s 3rd owner in 2011, registered in 2012 in NSW and acquired by me in 2013 as the previous owner left to go and live in USA and didn’t want to re-export the EL Camino back there.
Modifications
The current paintwork was completed 21 years ago in the rarest of factory colours (misty Turquoise). The 307 was bored 30 thou rebuilt and balanced in 1993. I have rebuilt the suspension, fixed the A/C, bettered the brakes, replaced rubbers, trim parts, chrome, light lenses, wheels and tyres and added the sports racks to carry my surfboards to the beach as this is my daily drive. The custom tonneau cover keeps it all looking neat.
New bumpers are coming and a four Barrel manifold and Carb are there waiting to be fitted along with a new exhaust system and the engine bay will get a bit of a face lift as well.
The car was imported to Australia from California by it’s 3rd owner in 2011, registered in 2012 and acquired by me in 2013. It’s a real pleasure to drive and gets a lot of admirers where ever I take it..
