Hand Picked and imported from California by previous owner. It was a reasonable every day driver quality at the time.Converted to RHD by previous owner and engineered..
Bought by me in Oct 2001 and transformed by me to get it up to where it is today.
Reluctantly sold to a buyer in Melbourne in 2010 after buying my 69 Chevelle.
Modifications
Too many to list. It didn’t leave the factory as a GT but being a J code it was entitled to get the GT Factory treatment so I cloned it following all the right information out of books to do it right. I started with the correct Flip Open GT Gas Cap (NOS) and worked from there. You name it, it was done, correct in just about every detail. A great car to drive, Shelby Spec suspension made it handle superbly and engine bay was Cobra Trim Equipped to give it a very authentic look. Interior, Exterior and Mechanicals all done at some stage when I owned it and fetched a pretty good dollar when changed hands. I won quite a few awards at shows with this car and had a lot of fun getting the car to the stage it is in this photo. I was always too big in stature to drive this car comfortably which was the main reason for getting out of Pony cars and entering into Muscle cars (added leg room).
