My wife got sick of driving my cars (all manual coupes) when I was borrowing hers, so she told me to go and buy a 4 door automatic. So I looked up what the fastest 4 door automatic production car is in the world, and this is it (after you've had it chipped and worked a little). This is simply an awesome day-to-day car. It probably doesn't have the handling or finesse of a BMW M3, but it makes up for all that in sheer, brutal power and noise. Like driving a muscle car around. Except its got bluetooth, SatNav, heated seats, etc, etc. Best value-for-money car you can buy in Australia.
Modifications
Put in a Quaiff LSD, and redid the fuel mapping to extract maximum horsepower. The most comfortable rocket I've ever driven, although suspension is very stiff for day-to-day driving. But I don't care. I'll happily trade-off comfort for handling, any day.
