I owned and drove this car as a daily driver for 6 years. Great old Fal spent all its life in springwood qld. I was the second owner. I paid $4500 for it. it had had one resto already. I always wanted to restore it. Just the money. Eventually my wife gave me the nod and I had the car apart within days. The car was striped to a shell and restored right the first time.. Even the diff, leaf springs and under carriage painted. Complete new interior, re-chromed all bright work. We put a stroppy 302 Winsor in it, C4 with shift kit using all the great mod kits available to do so. Extra bracing in the engine bay. It had XD Disc brakes, with a booster and twin master cylinder. The rear was a shortened mustang 8. I used hubcaps off the American Galaxy (which fit ford 14' rims). This gave the XP Hardtop the original look and the ultimate sleeper Classic car style I was trying for. I wanted a classic looking, Ozzy muscle car. Do I miss this car... gulp!.. yup
