History
Left hand drive built car, originally black with a red interior. Exported to New York as new disappeared without trace until 1990 when purchased as a bit of a shambles from Florida by the previous owner. Imported to Australia and ground up restoration to original spec, except 2.6 litre engine bored out to 3 litre. Owned by a previous president of the Austin Healey Owners Club Victoria. Upon his death, vehicle was garaged for a couple of years before I bougt it in 2007.
Currently member of the Historic Rally Association
Modifications
Engine rebuild following head failure in 2010. Bored out to 3.2, smooth flow DMD inlet manifold, extractors, twin 2" SU. Presently gearbox out of car following a failure of third gear (and 1st and reverse were always dodgy....) and its about to get a set of straight cut sebring ratios.
Running on taller Vredstiens to keep the car looking as original as possible.
