History
Originally a four door E3 3.0s the car was converted to a 2 door coupe early in its life. The car competed in hill climbs and other events in Victoria and was mothballed in 2006.
Modifications
I purchased the car in 2009 and from 2012 to early 2013 completed a full race restoration.
Engine - period correct M30 straight 6. 330hp and 7750rpm rev limit, 12:1 compression. Forged pistons. Balanced and blueprinted. Racing clutch. Lightened flywheel. Triple 45 DCOE Webers. Oil cooler. Full braided lines.
Gearbox - Getrag 5 speed dogleg. Final ratio 1:1. Breather in engine bay.
Differential - Sideloader LSD 3.9. Breather in boot.
Suspension - Bilstein Racing Shocks. Race springs. Adjustable tops for camber and caster. Front and back.
Interior - Race seats. Race belts. Race tacho. Full race gauge set.
Fuel system - 74 litre below floor aluminium tank. Twin fuel pumps with twin fuel filters. 4 litre surge tank. Full braided lines.
