History
Made at GMH Plant, Dandenong, Sold through a Dealer in Dandenong, to a Dandenong resident. First registered on 12-12-1968. Vehicle was purchased in 1997 for $1,400, before the Gold Rush. Underwent a 19 year restoration and is dressed up as Matlock for some show appearances, static display only. The car can be dated as one of the early production units, pre the release. But being a base model with the factory 307 or 5 Litre, it was a slow seller. It's pretty close to how it left the factory but with a sprinkle of improvements.
Modifications
Items not factory include - Carpet, Rear seat Lap belts, Halogen Headlights and a Quadra jet Carbie. The wheels are thought to have been added to the vehicle to help a sale, they are units from the Sampson Foundry S.A., who were the forerunner to ROH, I think. They were reconditioned by Wheels of Ballarat, now called Wheels Australia.
