History
This 1950 Cadillac Series 62, is one of only a handful of convertibles in Australia, and has benefited from a no expense spared restoration by one of Australia’s best shops. This Cadillac was previously based in Washington then enjoyed one long-term owner in Des Moines, Iowa before being purchased by myself in 2019. Based in Beaudesert, Queensland Pat’s Pro Resto’s & Refinishing have turned out numerous award-winning projects over the years. Recently completed, the ground-up restoration saw the Cadillac stripped to bare metal and painted in stunning Jet Black with contrasting custom red leather upholstery, along with fresh carpets and trim. Everything on the car has been fully restored and detailed to show standards – the electric hood works perfectly, the rebuilt 331-cid V8 engine purrs and the Hydramatic transmission shifts smoothly, while electronic ignition has been fitted for effortless starting and more reliability. A discreet centre console houses an Apple head unit with useful features like Sat Nav and a reversing camera, along with an amazing sound system. From the gleaming black duco and glistening chrome to the spotless red leather upholstery and correct Cadillac wire wheels on fresh whitewalls from Antique Tyres, the convertible is simply magnificent. Rarely driven, the car has always been garaged and presents in stunning condition.
