History
The original owner to my knowledge was a lady professional in Lithgow N.S.W. in 1971. I don't know how long she had it for but at some stage it was sold to a Local Gentleman in Lithgow & then swapped for a Charger to Mr Terry Vowler of Kutunga VIC in the early 90's.
Terry informed me he owned the vehicle for approx twenty years up until I purchased it in 2012 after seeing it advertised on www.carsales.com.au . I'd been looking for a couple of years for either a VF or VG 770 with the Fireball 318 in good original (Unu*******) condition but to no avail! This car was the best I'd come across in really good original condition having been in dry storage & well looked after all of its life. Original 245 Hemi Engine which has been around the clock either once or twice . . hard to say. Speedo reading now 55,000 miles. Not an ounce of rust! Interior truly amazing & cared for. I could have lived with it the way it was, but in 2013 I decided to have it resprayed in 2 pak by "Classic Line" Body Shop Preston. I left under the Bonnet , Engine Bay, inside Boot Lid & Boot in the Original Acrylic as a testament to its great original condition! Also new beige vinyl top (Factory grain) all stainless trim polished & all new bezels, lenses & new authentic loop pile Buckskin Beige carpet. Also New Rubber Mat & Carpet in Boot. Reconditioned B-W 35 Automatic Transmission & Torque Converter done in 2014 by Pro Automatics Dandenong. It has picked up a couple of Trophies at Chrysler "Show & Shines" since . . . What more can I say except it would be hard to find a better example of the VG Regal 770 in the Mahogany Metallic Colour & in the Hemi Six. The colour wasn't real popular in 1971 & most left the lot as Fleet cars or sold to Professionals. The Hemi Sixes were rare also as most of the 770's came out with the Fireball 318 V8. It has been hired twice by "Max Action Vehicles" Geelong in the past two years for a TV commercial & Movie Shoot. Undeniably one of the best VG Regal 770 Hardtop's in Australia in original u********* condition . . . as sadly most of these Hardtops have been modified to the max & ruined!
Sold to Mr Tom Elliot of Fitzroy Melbourne on 26th May 2016. He is now the proud genuine Fifth Owner of this Magnificent Valiant ! The story continues with Tom. . . .
