Restore and modified as a farther/son project in 2010.
We purchased the vehicle as a going road vehicle and decided to rebuild the vehicle when the existing V6 suffered heart attack, we decided to do a heart transplant with a XR8 engine and 3 speed auto (C9).
The project was reasonably fast as it was my sons everyday driver.
Modifications
The XR8 was stripped and rebuilt retaining the roller cam ( Camtech Billet cam & overheads fitted) block remain standard bore & stroke, GT40 head retained but modified.
4BBL Holley (670cmf) and 302 Windsor Edelbrock Super Victor Intake Manifold, custom extractors and 3" exhaust system
A C9 automatic modified and shift kit fitted. 3000rpm Hi-Stall torque converter fitted.
The vehicles suspension was change use Monro springs & shock kit 2" lower.
Disc brakes upgraded (disc size and callipers up sized).
18" X 8" mags and tyres.
Interior was stripped and restored.
