I have owned the ute for just on 16 plus years. I bought it from a guy about 90% complete. And from there it sat in the back yard for around 11 years before I started. I have done all the work myself. Thats from panel to paint to mechanics.
Modifications
I know a lot of hard core enthusiasts will cringe but basically the shell and trim are original 69 ford xw, but gor everything else, it has been brought up to the 22nd century. Engine bay has had the shocky towers notched and reinforced to accommodate the new motor.the motorwas made for a 2006 mustang cobra terminator. But it never was installed. This motor started its life in the Ferrari factory. The block is called a tekskid block." Mind the spelling of it" but from factory it had all the goods, and capable of handling in excess of 1000plus hp.
So the motor was striped down and rebuilt to try and extract all the hp. Put it this way it this motor is worth the price ofa brand new xr8. At the moment running at 6psi it is putting out just over 900hp at the wheels.! Next I have iinstalled all RRS running gear. That includes 4 way adjustable coil over shockies with 355mm disc's snd 6 piston calipers front and back. With a 3 link back end. And rack and pinion power steering
