History
I found lil ruby in a back yard out in the weather. She was quite sad looking and covered in dirt. But underneath all that dirt I wanted to make this little beetle blossom. It took me six months working on her day and night by myself as I was recently widowed back then. The beetle project kept me busy. I did have help on the motor and upholstery by local trades but putting her together cosmetically was just me. Lil Ruby makes me so proud when I drive her and people wave at us . She is my pride an joy .
Modifications
Lil Ruby, has had a full motor revamp and is now a 1916cc motor with twin Del Orto carbs. She has had a full internal cleanup and restoration. VW symbol is embroidered into the headrests . Windows tinted , new bumpers headlights and all new rewriting completed. New carpets and steering wheel complete the look of this little lady.
