1.5JZ swapped mx73 Cressida
When i bought it it was already manual swapped with coilovers, but otherwise stock
I then reconditioned the brakes and fit new wheel bearings and put some wheels on it
After a while of it being my daily, i one day went on a trip down to nsw, got defected and upon coming home, attempted to clear them. Not realising that the defects dont apply to a QLD registered car.
That aside, the next day she wouldn't start. No spark and no fuel.
After 3 weeks of trying to diagnose it after work hours, to no avail, i decided to buy my mates 1jz swapped hilux as a donor car
2 weeks later i had finished the swap, and found out that i had the exact same issue on the new motor, which i drove home from my friends in the hilux..
Long story short, it was a faulty relay.
3 months later the gearbox let go, no biggy, replaced it with the one i had spare from the hilux.
3 days after that the oil pump failed, so out comes the 1jz bottom end, and in goes a reconditioned factory spec 2jz bottom end, new turbo, new clutch, new pretty much everything in the engine bay.
Also wired in the haltech myself, and relocated the oem fusebox to the drivers side strut tower and semi wire tucked it, with functionality in mind.
Nearly there and then its time for driveline and brake upgrades, and non rep wheels
