History
This all started after I read an article about the final batch of GTR’s & 370’s arriving in Australia. My curiousity got the best of me and I decided to see what was still sitting on dealer lots. After much internet, I stumbled across a dealer in Newcastle with several 370’s that all had rather high VIN numbers. A friend ran them through Nissan’s system and to my surprise, one came back as being the last 370Z built for Aus.
It was still for sale.
And it was manual.
All of a sudden things got very real very fast. This is the second car I've purchased brand new. I know it’s still just a car, but this genuinely means so much more to me. I was still in high school when the 370Z first came out. I remember sitting in a silver one at the dealer when they were new. I remember going to look at a car for sale and noticing the seller had a new 370z in his garage (he let me sit in it). I remember late night drives with friends, ending up out the front of the Nissan dealership looking through the window at the 370Z on display.
I remember saying that one day, I would own one.
I never imagined buying one off the lot, let alone the very last one. This completes the collection of the last 3 Australian delivered Z cars.
