History
Had this quite a few years. Found it behind a shed. Originally a white sedan with 360 and auto trans. Late last year I decided to start working on it. It will become a nice practical car. 5 speed manual, A/C etc etc
Modifications
Basically I will restore the body. There is minimal rust in this shell, but there were a few dings in the sill panels etc. Have pumped them all out with heat, and filled with lead. Rear quarters were replaced with panels from a Matador parts car. Again lead filled. Rear beaver panel has lead filling as well.
Everything is getting the bare metal treatment. The black paint is POR15, and most of it has been sprayed with sound deadener.
Modern sound deadener will be used inside. I will convert the wipers from LHD sweep to RHD sweep. Bucket seats from a Matador. manual trans conversion, big drop tank in the rear, and a rack and pinion conversion for the front.
It will run aftermarket front and rear disc brakes. Modern HVAC. Modern guages etc
Basically I want to build a car that has all the practical mod cons of a current production car. I might go to EFI, but multi carbs keeps calling at me. I also have a reproduction factory hood scoop for it. That was a task on it own. The scoop came with a bulge on the left for a hood mount tacho. But in RHD car the bump is so wrong, so I cut and fibreglassed the hole. I prefer to have a tacho in the car.
