Rescued from Penrith in SYD as a shell and a million parts to go with it! The jigsaw puzzle finally came together some 6 years later and is my other daily driver.
Modifications
Where do I begin. Tunnel had already been enlarged for HSV motor (???) so it was never going to be stock. So fitted a warm 186S engine, celica 5spd gearbox, HR rear diff (3.22) and HR front with discs as well as a straight gas system (IMPCO). Gas tank (73ltr) is in the fuel tank position between the chassis. Drop tank cover fitted over the gastank so can't be seen from behind. Gives the rear end a FAT look. Had to go with a non-standard colour and all I could think of was the Brock Red of the early commodores (Maranello Red). Came out well I think! Other mods include remote central locking, vn belina seats (for now), grey velour door cards and roof lining, plush grey carpet, period 5 slot polished wheels.
