History
I purchased my Coupe as a barely rolling shell in 96 from a mate & after a lot of hard work over many years she was finally registered for the first time in November of 2005.
All the work was done by myself with some help from my kids & a mate under a carport in my backyard.
I painted her in it’s original Lime Glaze Acrylic using 8 litres all up.
I tried to keep the restoration as close to Factory specs as possible.
Modifications
I added a few GT spec mods to make my version of of what I would of ordered from the Dealer back in the day.
Front & rear spoilers.
Guard flutes.
Bonnet flutes.
Deleted black outs.
Fat Bathurst Globes, 8in front & 10in rear.
Chrome accessories on engine & a custom fan shroud on a 4 core radiator.
The motor is mildly worked with a 750 Holley DP, Edelbrock manifold,,2V heads,4MA crank, winged sump & Pacemaker Headers with Duel 2 1/2in exhaust.
Top Loader with a Hurst Indy shifter.
4in tail shaft, 9in Diff with Large ventilated finned Drums.
Nolathane bushes all round & lowered suspension.
She rides sweet & handles well.
