History
This 280ZX has had 3 previous owners, the last two were in the Berwick area near Melbourne.
Although I have paid for the car, it is to be a first car for my daughter who has 18 months before she can get her license. There is a reasonable amount of cosmetic rust in the car, had a quote for $8000, drop off and pick up.
Mechanically it is great, the trip home from Melbourne proved the car to be a great cruiser and it used bugger all fuel, using around 8L/100km, or 12km/L. Better than our Subaru Outback H6?!
The ZX has been lowered and it corners like it’s on rails!!........I used to say that about my HZ sedan that had huge tyres, but this time I mean it, it’s a weapon through anything twisty, just a shame it’s an auto.
Fortunately we have another 280ZX, a manual that is too far gone rust wise and isn’t running. May be a donor car someday if my daughter stays in love with it.
Modifications
- 4 Speed O/D Auto from a VL Commodore fitted by the previous owner.
- Extractors.
- Electric adjustable front seats.
- Lowered.
