History
This was my first road bike and was given to me for my 16th birthday by my uncle that is responsible for getting me into bikes. The bike was in boxes with a stripped frame and no wiring harness. It had the wrong seat and headlight but was otherwise original.
What you see here is the finished product after I built it back up in Dadâs shed. The wiring was the most difficult and was never quite right, I was frequently melting wires and having to replace the regulator/rectifier.
The CB served well in Adelaide from ’94 to ’96 where I studies for 3 years and it went everywhere. Trips into the Adelaide Hills were a favourite and I don’t recall how many times we cruised from Tea Tree Gulley to Glenelg wearing shorts and T-shirt.......but it was a lot. My mate had a Z250 Kawasaki, single cylinder that had no hope of keeping up but we had a ball.
Once home I rode it for one more year before the pathetic headlight and crook charging system got the better of my patience.........plus I had HK Brougham newly purchased and needing attention :)
