Purchased 1995 unregistered with ’dead’ Mazda 12A ’twin dizzy’ engine.
Conducted basic restoration and returned to road-registered with Mazda 13B bridge-ported engine, though later replaced this with a 13B injected turbo engine.
Let run out of rego around 2001, as was also driving a Daimler Sovereign SIII.
Though prior to purchasing the Daimler I purchased 2 more NSU Ro80s from Melbourne and had them freighted to the Gold Coast with the intention of building one prime example of the three.
I now have the 3 vehicles in my shed, pondering their future... might restore when I have time (whenever that will be)... or my more recent thoughts... restore the best one, but convert to an electric car. But I would consider selling if I got a reasonable offer (got a few too many projects!).
