History
My first car was a Morris 1100, well I guess you could say it was both my first and second car all in one!
I bought the car from an insurance company in 1979, the thing is it was written off with substantial damage to the back. Never mind my dad said we'll just buy another one that's smashed in the front and join them up!
And that's exactly what we did, so it ended up being a 64 and 66 1100S.
It was an excellent first/second car, able to leap tall sand mounds at Lancelin (WA) and take on any 4x4 track (she just slid along on her belly in the WA sand). It never really let me down even though it suffered more abuse than another car I've had since, other than my first Brumby!
The thing used to corner like a demon (all things considered) and would keep up with my mates XU-1 clone. Until we got into the straight that is.

Modifications
Electrical system converted to negative earth.
Air filter turned around to allow cold air induction! (Didn't make any difference)
