recently purchased from Ipswitch area, all std and original except for wheels. It does run and drive, the original engine very smooth no rattles or smoke has been in a dry storage for many years.. Have just started on panelwork. Recently purchased another mint body shell, so will make one out of the two. also have a 1500cc cortina engine to fit with modifications., well things changed and i purchased the red shell, already paneled and painted, so used the green car as a donor, to complete the red shell, i also purchased a rough donor car from nsw for more parts. The red car now runs the 1500 and gt type 4 speed, anglia diff with escort 3.5 ratio head, 1300 escort front srtuts and disc brake conversion by myself to original front suspension and crossmember retaining anglia steering box, 14x6 superlite wheels, custom Upholstery by Phil Bailey of nambour, who did the whole interior, front seats are nissan silvia., It is now on the road, drives suberb and handles very well, , the little 1500 pushes it along very nicely, i have done a few sprint events as well for a bit of fun. But now getting serious building the green shell into a full out race car to run a 1.6 mx5 motor and box, , escort front crossmember rack and suspension discs etc, wth a rear disc conversion and coilover shocks to rear, so should be a fun toy.
Modifications
1500cc pre crossflow, with a cam extractors and side draught weber, to be fitted, with an cortina gt 4 speed speed box.
