History
Built in 1978 Silver Monarch Ford Flagship of the 1970’s muscle car era, one of 250 built now individualised into this century without taking away from its original comforts and grunt of the factory fitted 5.8 litre 4V 351 Cleveland V8 with drive train to suit down to the Ford 9” differential.
As 3rd owner of this vehicle, we bought 18 years ago from a retired man who had it parked in his garage with the battery disconnected and the car showed 111,000 original kilometres on the speedo. He had stored it alot of the time on blocks. He had purchased the vehicle from the original owner in Victoria and drove it to Queensland.
The vehicle has now travelled 149,000 kilometres. We hold all log books going back to the purchase date of July 1978. This stunning vehicle has been meticulously maintained all of its 40 years of life. With its originality and our list of upgrades, it is an invigorating pleasure to drive and the admiration and comments that we receive every time the vehicle leaves the garage is unbelievable. We believe its honestly unique!
Myself being an early baby boomer I grew up in the Australian Muscle Car Era of the 60’s & 70’s, if I haven’t owned a certain brand or model of a vehicle I knew someone that did. I believe The Henry is the ultimate of all those vehicles being the absolute top of the Ford Range is fitted with every factory luxury of the time.
Modifications
• Personalised original style black & white rego plates OVA-350
• To suit unleaded and LPG, the heads were modified & the top end fully refreshed
• A fuel bypass system & electronic fuel pump fitted, Petrol tank dipped, pressure tested & repainted.
• FMX Transmission has been fully serviced, freshened up with cooler & new selector brushes fitted
• The air-conditioning upgraded to Gas & Compressor + radiator replaced
• An AP60 command cruise control professionally fitted
• GPS digital speedo professionally fitted (without disturbing original dash)
• Immaculate Silver Monarch Grey paintwork - Exterior repainted in 2011 - no nasty rust surprises during preparation
• Full security System & engine immobiliser professionally fitted (brand withheld for security purposes)
• Integrated Pioneer Super Tune 3 CD MP3 Tuner with 4 x 4 Way 16cm 260 watt speakers professionally fitted
• Tinted Windows with high UV Resistance
• Colour matched full custom made carpet floor mats to protect original carpets
