History
I have owned this CBX since 1982. Part of the family.
This bike was used pretty hard in our younger days, with drag racing, track days and lots of long distance touring. Couldn't kill it and it got me keen on the CBX and building modified CBX's, for myself and now I have a CBX specific workshop, where I service tune, modify, rebuild and restore CBX's from all around Australia.
Modifications
18 " gold boomerang rims from a CB 1100F front and a VF 750 rear. Twin piston calipers on the front, with braided stainless brake lines, onto drilled rotors. Stainless steel crashbars, stainless steel replica exhaust system, gear sack rack, YSS rear shocks and a fork brace on stock forks. Carbs bored 1 mm oversize to 29 mm and fitted with K&N pod filters.
Not the most original or pristine CBX out there, but she is set up to my taste and has a lot of sentimental value.
