Car was purchased for $1246 in 1964 by a couple employed at the Australian Embassy in Singapore.
It was freighted there by ship, and at the end of their assignment abroad (1966), freighted back to Australia.
The couple had no children or animals and hence the upholstery (all original) is in good condition.
As was so often the case in those days, the wife could not drive. When the husband passed on, the wife made her first attempt at driving with often poor results ie dents and scratches were all over the front end of the car.
Car was put up for auction in the 1993 Adelaide Grand Prix Classic Car Auction and purchased by an old man whose dreams far exceeded his capability.
I purchased the car in 2002 and over the years have been replacing and repairing as required.
The car currently has 76000 miles on the clock.
