History
I bought the vehicle in Townsville. She was a tired old girl, a Belmont with faded paint and torn upholstery. I repainted her, added Kingswood trim to her interior and swapped out the 202 when it finally died. I kept her for three years whilst living in Townsville and Brisbane. Whilst not as grunty as my previous van the 186 was a great on fuel using a tank of fuel between Brisbane and the Gold coast and back whereas the V8 would need a tank down and a tank back! Traded her for a 1980 RA-40 Celica Coupe from a car dealer at Breakfast Creek in Brisbane.
Modifications
I swapped out the 202 for a 186. To be truthful you would be hard pressed to notice any difference between the two motors power wise but the difference if fuel economy was in the 186's favour by far.
