History
1969 HT Monaro Oasis Green. This one owner survivor base model HT Monaro with Antique Gold interior, 186ci motor and 4-speed manual console. It was purchased from Wortley Motors, Naracoorte in Dec 1969.
The Monaro was bought as a 21st birthday present (imagine being a young man out and about town in Holden’s new "excitement machine" in the early 70s). Sadly the son passed away unexpectedly from a medical condition, and the consequence was for the car to be tucked away until 2017 and why it's true to how it left the factory.
I purchased the car from the deceased estate in Dec 2017. It had a genuine 111K miles at the time. It featured in Survivor Car Australia/Shannons Survivor and Barn Find show in 2018. It is matching numbers car, with original books, original paint, trim, and running gear. I did work to get it back to runner including brake cylinder, engine cooling, and reinstate the fresh air heater.
After taking possession I spent the next 6months completing work to have it fully working as it was when it left the dealership. It was then puchased by a early model Holden enthusiast.
Modifications
Survivor one owner car. Factory fitted options of 186ci motor, 4-speed console manual, radio, fresh air heater, and mudflaps.
