History
The car has been assembled from 'bits and pieces' collected over 8 years.
The engine came from a 1932/1933 car in the UK. 750 cc side valve - 2 bearing crank, coil ignition.
The plan is to develop a 'special' to be road legal and to be used in hill climb events.
Challenge is to finish it before it finishes me!
Modifications
The engine is fully rebuilt: New block, Phoenix crank (still splash lubricated), forged pistons, large valves, Ricardo style aluminium cylinder head, race camshaft, high capacity oil pump and filter, lightened clutch assembly. New radiator, header tank, electric fan with an electric pump (assisting the original syphonic circulation).
Gearbox and back axle are rebuilt, and the chassis/suspension has been lowered and modified.
Hydraulic brakes all round (Mini origins) with front-rear split and balance bar.
Running on 19" rims with Blockley period style tyres.
Light weight aluminium body design and construction is the next step.
