History
This was my Dads daily work vehicle 30 years ago, when he retired in 1991 I purchased it of him for $350 for my girlfriend at the time "now my lovely wife"
It was rebuilt in 1992 from the ground up and an accident seen it rebuilt again in 2003 and painted its current colour, it was originally peanut colour,
it has had the original 1100cc 3K motor replaced with a 1.5litre motor with twin 40dcoe webers and a Toyota Soarer SC14 Supercharger as a blow through setup and lots of other motor modification work to assist with performance, it now lives in my garage and is taken for Sunday drives only these days, my Dads not with us now so this little ripper has a very close connection with him and will always remain in the family,
Modifications
The Motor is a KM36 1.5ltr 5K that has been completely rebuilt with performance in mind, every moving part has been balanced and blueprinted that's right blueprinted its still done, 35/75 Solid Lifter Camshaft by Waggot Cams Alstonville NSW "Plug" Solid lifter conversion, ignition is fully electronic, induction is by way of force fed twin 40dcoe weber carburettors with a Toyota Soarer SC14 Supercharger mounted on a Toyota 5K Motor Aircon Bracket, Pistons are Dished Wiseco, 327 Chev Solid Lifters & Roller Rockers, Head is Toyota 3K Big port with extensive porting work, Balanced Flywheel not lightened for torque,Davis Craig Thermo Fan takes care of the engines heating requirements instead of the useless standard engine fan, Toyota 4K twin row timing chain, the block has had the timing chain dowels removed and replaced with bolts for easy access to timing gear without taking the motor out, High Volume Oil Pump, These mods were done to maintain the period Aura of the car, Full available K-Mac Suspension consisting of K-Mac Road & Race Camber Caster Tops, Front 30mm K-Mac Competition Sway/Stabilizer Bar, Monroe GT Gas Front Strut Inserts, K-Mac 40mm Lowered Front HD Springs and all Nolothane Bushing, Rear Has HQ Holden air shocks so it's able to carry hefty loads or raise and lower the rear of the car 4" either way while remaining firmly footed on the road, Rear K-Mac Sway/Stabilizer bar, 65mm Lowering Blocks, Reset leaf springs, Custom Panhard Rod, Brakes are Stock but Boosted with HR Holden VH40 Booster
