History
In late 2009 I purchased this Austin Healey Sprite from Eammon Matthews, then another Sprite Car Club of Australia member, to use for club social events and as an occasional Super Sprint car. Great car for twisty country roads but a bit soft for the track. She thought that it was too hard to get in and out, too hard in the suspension, too noisy, leaked in rain, too cold or too hot (no Aircon), and had a loose nut behind the wheel! It did win some Concours d;Elegance and some economy trails with some very carefully tuned twin SU carburettors.
Sold in 2017 to another member to become a Group S race car because it had a CAMS Group S Log Book. Replaced by the Toyota 86GTS, being somewhat more comfortable!
Modifications
Every thing standard except Ashley hard top, roll bar, race 6-point seat belts, Isolation switch, fast road cam, extractors, and extinguisher.
