Well i parted ways with my VY S bout a week ago, bought her as a 1st year apprentice. Sad times indeed. Miner from Kalgoorlie bought her, rocked up on the day, never even seen apart from online and said "yer ill take it".
Ever since got back from Summernats decided, its time for a V8, but what ?? Do i go old skool resto or new age ?? Always wanted a ute so that was a given.
Worked my arse off at work, grabbed as many hours as i could, overtime or working saturdays, and then finally when qualifed as a mechanic, pay went through the roof, which helped tremendously lol. And also the odd wheeling and dealing of cheap car parts helped.
Saw probobly well into 20+ utes, most of which eventually sold during the duration of my search. Decided was either going to trade my VY in, but obviously wanted to sell privatly as was offered bugger all for a trade . So within the last few weeks narrowed it down to a blue VZ SS ute, when all of a sudden this popped up, couldnt believe my eyes, it was my white whale.
Went down to the dealer and asked "where is it, i must see it" and his reply was "Jesus Christ, i only put that up on carsales hour ago, u must be keen as hell". Indeed i was. They took me into the workshop where had just finished its 88 point inspection, they had me hook, line and sinker.
And so on the 5/5/12, the 76 birthday of my Nana (RIP) and the news of Adam 'MCA' Yauch from Beastie Boys had died, i took possesion of my VZ SSZ ute known as... Daisy
