Like most young fellas in the day, I drove and worked on my own car before I got my license.
Also loke most young fellas, I made some mistakes.
One that I remember the most is....when fitting up up new coil I put a incorrect wire in the wrong place and almost set my car on fire.
A second one was, the car was still either running or turned on and I bridged the alternator with a spanner in my hand and got a lovely little shocked that tossed my against the fence.
I learned how to strip down cars for spares and my first was a HR sedan that I picked up for $50 and then a FB wagon.
Many years later after working on countless cars, I have picked up little tricks and skills thath have served me well.
