History
This is a kit-car - produced in the JBA factory in Scotland and shipped to Perth in WA. Apparently a number of these kits were built by Elite Autos and there is a strong following of JBA owners in WA.
Bought sight-unseen on the internet in 2005 and shipped to Brisbane by truck. Since re-registered in NSW after obtaining an Engineers Certificate.
Believed to be one of only 3 cars registered in NSW. Now garaged at maclean in Northern NSW.
Modifications
These cars were designed to take either Ford Sierra or Ford Cortina mechanicals from a donor car. My car has Cortina running gear. I have changed the springs and shocks and modified the intake system to improve air filtration.
I know of no other JBA to run a Nissan Turbo engine. Most use a 2-litre Ford engine - naturally aspirated. This engine transplant was commissioned by the previous owner and makes the car extremely lively!
