I bought bike 14 years ago at 14,000kms. Now at about 120,000kms , so time for a birthday treat. Bike WAS full fairing model ,but have restored it naked with new (matt ) paint . As I disassembled it , I found that original colour was red ! It has had total strip down , so new valves and springs , rings , timing chain , rotor , diode board . Wheels , frame , brake parts , carbs , heads , barrels etc etc vapour blasted , new exhaust headers and crossover pipes ( SS ) , new cables , new instrument housing and ( LED ) instrument circuit board out of USA. Most parts out of Motobins in UK. Gear box was serviced whilst out. Bearing in mind that bike was running pretty well before restoring , but I thought it wise to replace many things while apart.
