History
My familys history with this car is the reason ill never sell it.
The car started out as my fathers car in the lates 70s he had purchased this second hand and was using it as a daily driver. The engine was pulled down, cammed and rebuilt to give it a little bit of extra power! after a few years my father had sold the car and it wasent until roughly 2008 that the new owner was tracked down.
The car was sitting in the new owners shed, all receipts from the engine rebuild still in the glove box. After talking to the current owner the Momo shifter and steering wheel my father had put in were still lying around the new owners shed! the thought was put to the owner that if he'd ever like to sell the car we would be happy to buy it back and after a few weeks thinking about it the call came and this MG was back in the family.
Fast forward to 2016, the car had now been sititng for a few years. i had first gotten my license earlier this year and asked my father what he planned on doing with the old car. He said to me that he was happy to pass it down to myself. I Pulled the car out of the shed on all four flat tyres, serviced the car and got it running. a few eletrical issues were sorted out by a local auto electrician and it was ready to be back on the road.
2017, after driving the car for roughly 12 months the original paint had lots of blemishes, paint was cracking and had faded over the years. it was decided that the future of this car was to be resprayed in the original royal guard red. the car was sent to a local restoration shop for this work to be completed and is now back to its former glory.
