History
This car was owned by another dedicated Shannons enthusiast for almost 30 years. He had met his current wife with this car, she loved IT before him.
He was a ’Mercedes Benz club’ member, as I was (and will be again) and I had seen him using this car at Gymkanas. He (Greg) now has a ’Homologation model’ of the same car, left hand drive and many light weight features, including a bigger all alloy 5.0 Litre engine.
Modifications
The engine I have installed is an all alloy 4.2 Litre to replace the tired and heavy ’Iron block’ 3.5. I am retaining all the early and original injection and ignition from the old engine. This required retaining the early distributor and the inlet manifold.
