History
Never thought I’d own a Gemini, only ever loved old vh, vl, vk, vc commodores and old fords but come across this gemi for 1200 bux couple years ago and decided to purchase it.
Over a year working every weekend with me old man we stripped the whole car and got into the way it looks today. End of the day it just a Gemini but would love to invest my time into a vc commodore to add to my collection as I also own a 1998 Vs 50th anniversary Holden Ute.
Modifications
Being a spray painter and my old man working in the vehicle restoration days also a spray painter and with panel beating knowledge the body work was done by him, I then followed with blocking it with a wet rub finish before I laid paint on it. It’s had a full car change so inside out side all panels, and also the engine bay has been painted orange.
After the paint work was done vehicle got sent to a mate who owns upholstery shop in Cleveland, Brisbane called Red corner Upholstery, good mate Leslie who owns it did the trimming came up with the colour and we just went for it, come up very tidy.
The motor has had a full N/A rebuild by Zoran at Zok race carbs Capalaba, Brisbane. Zok no longer works out of the shop has relocated to shed at home but he built this motor to be fun reliable drive being able to drive it hard with 40mm Webber’s, full pace maker extractors exhaust, cams, ported, motors been stripped and cleaned with double valve springs, fitted with new pistons and chrome molley rings, all new bearings, balanced and rotated, Npc flywheel and clutch kit, alloy radiator, bigger thermo fan, upgraded front brakes the list goes on. It’s a fun car to drive and goes hard.
