History
This was my first V8 & bought it when I had just turned 22 & had it for 10 years. The first half of that decade it was my daily driver & was driven all over metropolitan Brisbane as being a relief officer for the railways. The car became an institution & alot had happened with the car & even in the car ;)
Modifications
it was a 5ltr V8 with mild head work, a twin throttle body & a mild cam that helped make 210kw. That along with a VN Group A 3.45 diff made it accelerate real well. In full street trim & a full stomach of pepperoni pizza I pulled a 14.27 on the 1/4 mile.
I'd like to say that on several occasions it had put modern so called 'performance cars' to shame from the odd stoush at the lights. This includes a TRD Aurion, HSV VX Clubsport, 2000 BMW M5 & a Nissan 370Z. Not much I know but I was quite chuffed when the old girl beat these cars. But sadly I made the tough decision to sell it to upgrade & to own my first proper HSV. All this happened in January this year which marked 10 years of owning the VN. I miss it still.
