History
The 1969 is the last iteration of the well known Volvo 122s. It shares the running gear of the 140 series with larger engine and dual circuit power assisted braking.
Purchased November 2021, I’m the third owner of this Amazon.
Relatively rust free the car is quite original with 90% original paint with patina.

• Replaced brake booster

Front Brakes

Front Suspension
• replace lower wishbone bushes
• Replace upper wishbone bushes
• Replace springs with a lowered set of springs

Engine
• Replaced oil and oil filter
• Replaced main front bearing seal and cover
• Tuned carburettors
• Replaced spark plugs
• Cleaned up air filter box
• Replaced air filter
• Replaced oil filler breather hose
• Adjusted valves
• Replaced valve cover
• Repaired windscreen washer motor and pump
• Replaced windscreen washer bottle and restore bracket
• Replaced clutch *GLT*
• Replaced fuel pump with pierburg pump
• Replaced distributor cap and rotor
Gearbox
• remove and replace seals *GLT*
Steering
• Rebuilt steering box with new bushes and seals. Worm gear built up, hardened and machined back to new. *GLT*
Cooling system
• flushed out radiator and cooling system
• Replaced radiator hoses
• Replaced thermostat and seal
• Replaced heater hoses
• Replaced coolant
• Install after marker temperature gauge
Exterior
• Fitted mudflaps front and rear
• Replaced bonnet and guard rubbers
• Repaired taillights. Fitted new lamps, replaced seal, fitted second hand taillight lenses
• Fitted registration plates
• Chrome wheel trims
• Restored wing mirrors
Interior
• Front drivers and passenger seat. Replaced webbing in base and back, repaired lumbar support, replaced seat cushion with better vinyl, adjusted position and height.
• Treated surface rust in floor pan, primed and top coated with colour matched rust inhibiting paint.
• Replaced dashboard top with a fair second hand one.
• Replaced front seat belts
Body
• Replaced Bailey channels to drivers side door
• Fitted new window cable to drivers side door
• Replaced quarter vent window rubber RHS
Heater
• Rebuild and repair heater fan motor. Re lubricate bearings, repair brushes.
• Clean out heater box
• Replaced heater control valve
