History
Bought this car back in 2012 from Sydney. Paint was like nothing Iââ¬â¢d seen before on a 205. Looked like it had lived in a garage its whole life minus a few carpark dents. Interior was in original condition with minimal dash defects. Front seats had cracked at the stitching being leather, the rear looked like theyââ¬â¢ve never been sat in.
The car is a Nov 1992 build, but was fitted with the factory extras of 1993 builds like the late series 3 door cards, plastic inlet manifold, plastic cam sprocket cover, grey carpet and factory fitted optional extra sunroof, metallic paint and headlight warning tones after ignition turned off.
Modifications
Originally had a DKZ 8 valve engine with impressive torque and induction sound. After a suspected head gasket failure and upon removing the head, a bolt sheared off in the block. This was a decision to replace the engine with an 1.9 Mi16 and keep and redo the 8V on the side, with maybe one day putting it back it.
The Mi16 is fitted with a Peter T stage 1 inlet cam regrind and a remapped ECU chip. Induction sound will turn any heads and give you a smile anywhere between 3000-7500 RPM.
Car was fitted with SMR 15" rims, but have a set of the Speedline 15" rims awaiting to be fit.
Koni externally adjustable shocks on the front with group N top mounts. New sway bar bushes, link rods, lower control arms, wheel bearings, all 3 engine mounts and buffers. Standard 1.9 exhaust with semi sports muffler. Yellow tinted fog light lens covers.
Bought with 189***Kmââ¬â¢s on the speedo, but just ticked over to 195***kmââ¬â¢s (March 2014).
Plans to keep completely original went out the door with the Mi16 engine transplant, but it looks like it came with it it. Will keep at original ride. Came with mint red reflector panel, but removed and replaced with black louvered panel for the fear or damaging it.
Originally came with am ugly rubber boy racer spoiler across the hatch & when removed took off some clear. Yet to be fixed.
