Bought for R700 after selling the black capri. Resprayed to the delightful combination of blue and white. Why? A good question...
Modifications
Replaced the 1100cc motor with a mildly worked and well bored out 1275. Lumpier cam, HS4 carbs and banana branch.
Replaced front seats with Marcos ones, then Mazda 323 ones.
Quick, a real sleeper especially with the tame paint job and standard wheels. Blistering take-off.
Memories
The things we do! It looked great in "Gunston Orange" - colour named after a brand of cigarettes - and I painted it baby blue!
It was a real sleeper, the 11H (1098cc) motor was the same bore as the 1275cc, so I changed crank, conrods & pistons after an re-bore to 40th oversize and it went like a rocket.
