This 1987 190E 2.6L in Willow Green is an extremely rare vehicle. It is the only registered 6 cylinder in QLD that is green and has always been a QLD car since new, still carrying its original plates. Only 5% of W201 Mercedes 190E were built with the large 6 cylinder engine.
'Willow' started its life off as the sales manager's car (Ian Douglas) of West Star Mercedes-Benz Toowoomba and served the dealership for 3 years, before moving to Pullenvale in Brisbane's inner West.
The Willow has been fully restored and is back to factory spec. The interior is a lovely ivory colour with dark green check upholstery, resembling a tweed jacket.
Willow has full Mercedes dealership service history up to 150,000 and has been to Mercedes specialists for the last 50,000 kms (having done just over 200,000 kms in total)
Built in the era when a Mercedes was the 'best' and still drives exceptionally.

Good thing you were aware of the Scammers Les, they are low life people.
Hope Velox sells fast to a keen buyer !
lespreston444
Thanks fellas I hade 3 scammers as soon as it comes on sale but all good
Blinkie1
Very well put their PonyRider, thanks for that and understand with having health issues including some sight loss also mate.
Its a nice looking classic just the same.
PonyRider
Hey Les Preston 444 ~~~ I fully understand you having to part with the Vauxhall, and I bet that hurts after you have spent so many man hours to get it to the great look it has now. The black stripes don't look bad at all it is just that I think Blinkie and me are diehards when it comes to originality & chrome bumpers etc.,
However, as it is, I think the total look of your Velox might attract a wider variety of age-groups, with more younger people being keen to own a classic that turns heads. Extra photos look great !
Good luck with the sale !
I can relate to pensioner income too, as I am on age pension and have to be careful with the dollars.
Fortunately I have a mechanic who is more than fair whenever my Mustang needs anything done.
.
Hope you can deal with the health issues, and you can proudly say you owned a 1949 Classic Car !
Be well, Take care of yourself, Cheers G.
---------------------------------------.PS:. Beware of Scammers who frequent Gumtree .
lespreston444
I put a few more photos up for you to look at if you like love it

Hi there guys the car came red and blacked out lm on a pensioner and can’t afford to get the chromeing done the black it’s that rippell paint it a shame but the car is on gumtree for sale at the moment due to health reasons it has to go I em not happy about it I have done a lot of work and time had it for 5 years and injured every moment thanks fellas
PonyRider
Yes I agree Blinkie1 The 'flutes' grooves on the bonnet are so significant to Vauxhall, maybe those parts weren't on the car or not in good condition.
I like Chrome bumpers too, but she sure stands out with the red paint !
Blinkie1
Certainly does just a pity the chrome on the bonnet and bumpers was not rechromed, just my opinion though.
PonyRider
I always thought the Velox and Wyvern of that era only came in Green or some drab boring colour,
but the bright red paint job on this old girl looks great, gives it a whole new lease on life !
